CALL FOR POSTERS & DEMOS
Overview

ISORC will organize a special session dedicated to posters and demos, where the objective is to allow participants, seeking feedback from the scientific community on their research ideas, to present their original unpublished and in-progress research work results, prototypes, tools, simulators, and systems, which demonstrate the applicability of real-time computing to different applications. This session will enable presenters to demonstrate their work and contact with potential users of their areas of interest, fostering new collaborations and promoting the adoption of new frameworks.

Topics

IEEE ISORC 2024 invites high-quality papers on all aspects of real-time object-oriented distributed technology, including, but not limited to:

  • Software Architectures for Real-Time Distributed Computing.
  • Distributed Real-Time Image, Video, and Stream Processing.
  • Distributed Communication for Emerging and Future Networks.
  • Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) for Distributed Computing.
  • AI/ML, LLM, and Federated Learning for Real-Time Distributed Computing.
  • Digital Twin for Future Networks and Emerging IoT Applications
  • Cybersecurity, and Trust for Distributed Real-Time IoT Systems.
  • Optimization Approaches for Distributed Real-Time Computing in The Context of IoT, Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), and Edge-Cloud Continuum.
  • Sustainable and Green Computing Transformation in Edge-to-Cloud Continuum.
  • Formal Verification and Model Checking for Distributed Real-Time IoT, CPS, and Cloud.
  • Ontology-Based Knowledge Modelling for Real-Time Distributed IoT & CPS.
  • Dependability, Fault Tolerance, and Resilience of Distributed Real-Time IoT.
  • Big Data, Algorithms, Models, and Techniques for Real-Time Analytics.
  • Operating Systems, Middleware, and System Software.
  • Distributed Management, Monitoring, Performance Evaluation.
  • Applications for IoT, CPS, Edge-Cloud, Distributed Embedded Computing, for example, medical devices, intelligent transportation systems, industrial automation systems and industry 4.0, smart grids, multimedia processing, and web/mobile applications, etc.
Submission Guidelines

  • Authors submissions should not exceed 4 pages in length including all references, figures, and table) -- in the English language only --, presenting original ideas, tools, and systems that are likely to trigger interesting discussions. Brief papers, for example, 2-page demo abstracts are welcome. All papers should follow the IEEE double-column format using the published IEEE Conference Proceeding templates.
  • The IEEE conference paper templates can be found here. All papers should be submitted in PDF format, and their title must bear a "Poster:" or "Demo:" prefix, respectively. which will removed in the camera ready version.
Pages 1 and 2 should include the following:
  • Title of the demo (including beginning with "Demo Abstract:")
  • Authors, affiliation, and contact information
  • Description of the problems addressed
  • Research and technical approach
  • Related work with bibliography

Papers Submission

All papers should be submitted through HotCRP system.

  • The program committee will review the abstracts and decide on the adequacy of the demo/poster to the conference audience. Reviews are single-blinded.
  • Accepted Demos and Posters papers will be included in the IEEE ISORC 2024 conference proceedings that will be published in the IEEE Xplore.
  • The authors of accepted demos and posters should prepare a PowerPoint presentation that provides an overview of their work, which will be presented during an optional "demo - poster" session that precedes the demo and poster session.
  • All accepted poster/demo papers should be accompanied by a regular non-student registration. One of the authors of the poster/demo must attend and present their work at the conference.

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: March 20, 2024
  • Authors' decision notification: March 30, 2024
  • Camera-ready deadline: April 04, 2024
  • Conference date: May 22-25, 2024
